Enlarged pores can add unwanted texture to your face and put you at risk for blackheads and other skin problems. At Dr Refresh, we simultaneously provide you with treatments while educating you on ways to prevent enlarged pores in the future.

Before receiving treatment at Dr Refresh, we ask that our patients come in for a consultation to meet with Dr Ritu Gupta or her associate dermatologists, who are specialist medical and cosmetic dermatologists, or one of her nurses and therapists. At this consultation, we want to hear from you and learn more about your concerns. We take this time to develop a treatment plan and determine how our options for pore minimising may help you.
After outlining your treatment program, we will move forward with your next steps. Each patient may undergo different treatments to achieve their desired results. These may include lasers and energy-based devices, medical-grade skincare, and more. Regardless of which treatment you receive, we will instruct on proper preparation and aftercare to protect your skin and make the most of your results.
Many patients have a series of appointments to continually shrink and clear their pores. You may have some aftercare steps to follow, but you’ll be able to soon enjoy your noticeably smooth and rejuvenated skin after visiting Dr Refresh in Ultimo!

Is it possible to completely get rid of my pores?
No, your pores are a normal and necessary part of your skin that you can’t get rid of completely! We can, however, reduce their size and cleanse them to keep them from being noticeable. You can maintain the effects of pore minimising in Ultimo by using <medical-grade skincare products> at home between appointments.
How many appointments for pore minimising will I need?
The number of pore minimising treatments varies from patient to patient. We may not prescribe the same treatment modality for everyone, but we typically recommend at least two or three treatments to shrink your pores. In addition, patients typically need the occasional maintenance session to keep up their results.
When will I notice results from pore minimising?
While you will notice the difference as soon as your skin heals, it does take several weeks for new collagen and skin cells to grow, especially for some of our devices, such as the Pico laser in Ultimo. Most patients see their best results two to three months after their last treatment for pore minimising in Ultimo.
