Step 1: Consultation
Before receiving treatment at Dr Refresh, we ask that our patients come in for a consultation to meet with Dr Ritu Gupta or her associate dermatologists, who are specialist medical and cosmetic dermatologists, or one of her nurses and therapists. At this consultation, we want to hear from you and learn more about your concerns. We take this time to develop a treatment plan and determine if fat freezing will help you achieve your body goals.
Step 2: Fat-Freezing
During your treatment, we will set a gel pad over the area to protect your skin. Then we will place the cooling applicator, where it acts as a gentle vacuum to suction up the area and delivers cold temperatures into the fat cells. The procedure generally takes up to 60 minutes.
Step 3: Follow-Up
While patients notice a difference in the treatment area after their first session, we schedule several sessions for best results. There is no downtime after fat freezing in Ultimo, so you can go right back to your routine and watch the results develop!

What does fat freezing feel like?
Patients in Ultimo generally describe the sensation of fat freezing as a gradual cooling sensation, and they find it very tolerable. You will feel the device gently suck up the treatment area so it can better target the tissue, but it is not painful.
Can fat freezing damage my skin?
No, fat freezing will not damage your skin. We place a gel pad over the area to protect your skin. Plus, the reason why fat freezing is so effective is that fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperatures than other types of cells. This means that they can die from the cold while your other cells are completely fine!
When will I see results from fat freezing?
